Great Smoky Mountains National Park

The most visited national park in the United States, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park sees more than 11 million visitors each year. On its 520,976 acres, you’ll find 6,000-foot peaks, historic homesteads, and 100,000 types of flora and fauna. This is a can’t-miss attraction with activities for everyone, right in our backyard.

Cades Cove
: An 11-mile, one-way loop road circles this broad, verdant valley that offers some of the best opportunities for wildlife viewing in the park. This is one of the park’s most popular attractions, and thanks to the road, you can enjoy the scenery at your own pace from your car.

Clingman’s Dome
: This is the highest point in the park and the third-highest mountain east of the Mississippi River. Take a steep half-mile walk to the observation tower on the summit for 360-degree views of the surrounding Smokies.

Mt. LeConte
: The Alum Cave Trail leading to the 6,593-foot summit of Mt. LeConte is the most hiked trail in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Its popularity is due to its incredible views and the interesting geological features you’ll see on the trail. Spend the night in LeConte Lodge, the highest guest lodge in the eastern United States.
